The sounds you hear in the recording at the same time happened at the same time, but not necessarily in the same place: for example, you can hear owls calling in the spanish night at almost the same time as kookaburras in the australian day. I set up my recorder outside on christmas eve in 2016 and unwittingly captured the sound of this anonymous and apparently oblivious neighbor walking his dog and singing "it's the most wonderful time of the year" down my street. A recording of my backyard early april morning. Various birds, light traffic (far away), light breeze, and some occasional chickens. Can faintly hear me walking and doing some light chores around the yard (my apologies for that).

The sound of birds and distant thunder awoke me from a long nap, and so i sprung off the couch and grabbed my recording equipment, dashing outside just in time to record the arrival of a thunderstorm. Over the course of this clip, the storm gets closer and closer, until it starts to rain with increasing intensity. The clip is nicely unmolested by wind, and contains a nice background of birds. A tremendous thunderclap is featured in the middle, three minutes in.
